About this session
Why did people wear armour? What can we learn about people from what they wear? And what links armour and printmaking? Through armour handling, sketching and discussion with our museum educator, your pupils will uncover the shapes and patterns found on our amazing armour. In the studio, pupils will then express their identity through block-printing their own designs.
What will your pupils learn?
- To communicate what they think and feel about themselves.
- To become more confident in talking about armour, with a range of new vocabulary.
- To learn simple block printing and how to create a repeat pattern.
